Promotional products are an easy way to increase your visibility and build brand recognition. Getting your name out there gives you credibility and gains the trust of potential customers. And did you know that the average promotion pen has 8 different users in its life span? You can’t beat that type of exposure.
There are hundreds of applications for promotional products. Here are some of the most frequent uses by small businesses:

• Maintaining customer goodwill

As with every advertising medium, you want to be sure that you are spending your money wisely. Here are ways to use promotional products more effectively.
1. Use giveaways that are useful so they are in front of the recipient or their audience often. Pick an item that will have value to your target audience so that it will be kept and used.
2. Be memorable by using items that are new or unique.
3. Attract attention by using bold bright colors in the items that you use.
4. Don’t skimp out. You don’t want to be remembered for giving an inferior product.
5. Use different products for the different audiences you are trying to reach. Use a lower cost item for trades shows and general giveaways. Give a nicer gift to those who stop and hear your presentation at your trade show booth. Give a premium giveaway to longstanding clients.
6. Make sure that your brand is clear and professional. Include your business name and logo clearly, and make sure that your website address is there as well. This is not the place to include your contact information.
7. Plan your promotional product strategy. Take your time to select the right items. Have them imprinted with your brand by a professional to ensure a high quality outcome.
